Now more than ever, it’s so important to maintain positive office morale. An easy and fun way to keep spirits up among your employees during these uncertain times is to implement quick and easy games during your next meeting, whether it’s a NetLines video call, over the phone, or in-person at the office.
Here are just a few of our favorite games that are sure to liven up any meeting and encourage employees stay connected to each other, beyond the context of work.
5 Group Games to Play On Video Calls or Over the Phone
One person will have a simple drawing in front of them, and the remaining employees will have a paper and pen at the ready. The leader will then describe step by step how to draw the image in front of them, without ever saying what it is or giving hints about the drawing. Once everyone has completed their drawing, they can share what they created – which might be vastly different than the original drawing.
Each person shares a fun fact about themselves with one “fact keeper,” and that person will share the facts one by one aloud, while the office tries to guess who each fact is about.
Show and Tell
If employees are working from home, take this opportunity to learn more about them personally and offer a chance for them to share something that’s special to them at home – whether that’s a pet, a painting, or even a full house tour.
Two Truths and a Lie
Each person in the office share two truths and one lie about themselves, and the remaining office members can guess which statement was actually a lie. This is a great way to quickly learn a lot about everyone in the office!
Most Likely To
Form a list of different scenarios and have employees write down who they think is most likely to do that thing. For example, “who’s most likely to schmooze a new client over a game of golf?” Give everyone a minute to write down their answers, then compare and see who got the most votes!
